Say the magic word "Boracay" and one's mind is instantly filled with pictures of fabulous beach partiesw, glamorous friends and personalities having a great time on the white-sand beach amidst the glorious tropical sunset.
If you want to have a really good time and escape from it all, all you need is to hop on a plane bound for Kalibo or Caticlan, jump on a banca and you'll land right smack in the middle of an island party. Toute as the Ibiza of the East, Boracay is an idyllic tropical island that transforms into one hell of a party palce come sunset.
Boracay is a party island. It's the one place in the country where people are expected to let their hair down and are forgiven for leaving their inhibitions behind.
As the air cools down, the bards and clubs bustle with activity in preparation for the upcoming action. In the background is techno music growing louder and louder as multi-colored lights begin to brihgten the up the beach.
Wonderful sunset parties that last until dawn aren't unusual here. From private theme parties where glamorous
 socialites and celebrities get the excuse to doll up to concert parties sponsored by corporate giants from Manila, to spontaneous hamming - the good times are rolling and taking on a new meaning on Boracay.
